Siya focuses mainly on commercial and public law litigation. He has extensive experience in telecommunications, broadcasting, competition regulation, and company law.

Previously, Siya was a Group Executive responsible for regulatory affairs at a telecommunications operator, Special Advisor in government, and practising attorney.

He did his articles of clerkship at Webber Wentzel where later became an associate. He co-founded a commercial law firm, Mahlangu Nkomo Mabandla Ratshimbilani Attorneys (MNMR).

When MNMR merged into ENSAfrica, Siya became a director in the litigation department.

Throughout his career, Siya has advised listed companies, regulators, telecommunications operators, governmental agencies, State Owned Companies and local authorities.

Siya holds a BA and LLB from Rhodes University, LLM in tax law and PhD in administrative law from the university of the Witwatersand.
