Deborah Mutemwa was admitted to the Johannesburg Bar in December 2023. Her preferred areas of practice include constitutional, administrative and general commercial law.

Deborah holds LLB and LLM degrees. Deborah practiced as an attorney for several years before joining the Bar. She served articles and worked as a corporate associate at Webber Wentzel. Deborah thereafter served as a law clerk to Justice Sisi Khampepe in the Constitutional Court of South Africa, before taking up a position at Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr as a dispute resolution associate. In 2018, she co-founded and ran corporate and commercial law firm, Tumbo Scott incorporated, for several years before joining the Bar.

Deborah has appeared in matters in the high and appeal courts, and the Constitutional Court.
