I obtained a B Proc and LLB from the University of Natal, Durban. I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies from Napier University, Edinburgh, UK and obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from De Montfort University, Leicester, UK. I attended a training program in Corporate Planning in Telecommunications at Goulet Telecom International, Montreal, Canada and completed a Regulatory Master Class in Telecommunication at TRMC, Bath, UK. In addition, I have attended a short course in Strategic Planning & Knowledge Management in Economic Regulatory Entities from Johannesburg University.
I was admitted as an advocate in 2017 and began practicing in 2018. I specialize in Telecommunications Law, Minerals Law, Energy Law, Construction Law, Competition Law, Commercial Law, Administrative Law, Labour Law, Family Law and Criminal Law. I worked at the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) and gained 10 years’ experience in Telecommunications Law, Broadcasting Law, Postal Law, Administrative Law, and Corporate Governance. I have worked at the then Department of Minerals and Energy and gained 3 years’ experience in the Minerals Law and Energy Law. I have worked at the then Department of Local Government and Constitutional Development and gained 3 years’ experience in Local Government Law, Traditional Leadership Law and arbitration.

Golden

Tanya Golden SC is a member of the Cape and Johannesburg Bars. She has a specialist practice in labour and administrative law. In the area of labour law, Golden SC conducts litigation in the Labour Court and Labour Appeal Court, represents clients in arbitrations and disciplinary hearings and is often appointed as the presiding officer in complex internal disciplinary hearings involving senior employees. She is a member of the Financial Services Board Enforcement Tribunal , is an AFSA commercial and labour law arbitrator and has acted as a judge in both the Labour Court and High Court. Golden SC also works in the areas of commercial law, local government law, and has done some work in oil and gas. Malesela holds the B. Proc, LLB and Higher Diploma in Company Law from the University of the Witwatersrand. He was admitted as an attorney in 2000 and practised as a partner in a law firm that he co-founded. He also held the roles of legal advisor and company secretary in state owned companies. Malesela’s areas of interest are general commercial law, administrative law, governance and public interest law.

Harding

Katherine Harding was admitted to the Johannesburg Society of Advocates in 2016. She has appeared in several divisions of the High Court, as well as the Labour Court, CCMA and in arbitration proceedings. Her areas of practice include public and administrative law (with a particular focus on procurement), local government systems and structures, mining law and general commercial and contractual law. Prior to joining the bar Katherine practiced as an attorney at Adams & Adams in Pretoria specialising in administrative and commercial litigation. Advocate Motlogelwa holds the Bachelor of Law (B. JURIS) and Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degrees. He also holds a certificate in Programme in Project Management (PPM) and an Advanced Diploma in Public Administration( Adv. Claire Avidon was admitted to the Johannesburg Society of Advocates in 2016. Claire holds BA and LLB degrees (both with distinction) from the University of the Witwatersrand and an LLM from the University of Cambridge. Her preferred areas of practice include general public and commercial law, with a particular interest in administrative, constitutional and competition law.

Chwaro

Omphemetse Ken Chwaro holds a B.Juris and LLB degrees and was called to the Bar in 1999 as a practising member of the North West Bar, Mahikeng until 2001 when he joined the public service in senior management level in legal services. He came back to join the North West Bar from 2010 until 2016 when he was admitted to the Johannesburg Society of Advocates.
Main areas of interest are administrative, public procurement, regulatory, construction, labour, customary and general commercial law. He has appeared in the High Court, Labour Court, Supreme Court of Appeal and the Constitutional Court. He also presides over various tribunals and has served two terms as an Acting Judge.
